LEDS - Actions and installations in the landscape

It was the last test before presenting to the public.
The limits that structure the landscape, beyond their representational, graphic, and compositional value, are present on the ground itself. Its borders both hinder and enrich the route: a precipice provides an opportunity from a panoramic point of view, the banks of a torrent offer the freshness of its waters. These obstacles can take various forms and proportions. The gorges and ridges are sublime, oversized, and impassable without infrastructure.
On a human and bodily scale, the barriers established to structure the fields and pastures also impose a pedestrian route: openings are arranged there according to a hiking map and precise graphic codes are established. These paths are marked not only to lead the walker in safety but also to structure the territory according to ecological, economic, and political constraints. It is to these kinds of limits that the presented project addresses.
The ladder is designed to be worn throughout a walk. It can be used in different contexts to cross stone walls, barbed wire, electrified barriers. Crossing cultivated regions thus break free from the beaten track, composes its own route. Overcoming these obstacles, no longer by looking but by movement and by setting up a specific device - which surpasses or crosses - also means connecting the different parts of a country to constitute it into a landscape.
